The College of Professional and Continuing Education in Hong Kong and SHAPE will jointly hold the Health Conference 2024 on 8th and 9th July 2024 in hybrid mode (Zoom meeting & Room UG06, PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus, 8 Hung Lok Road, Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong).

The Conference Organisers invite submissions on the following themes:

  • Primary healthcare

  • Social determinants of health

  • Health management curriculum

  • Competence, practices and research

  • Population ageing

  • Digital health and innovation

  • Universal health coverage

Call for Abstracts


Please submit an abstract of 350 to 500 words in English to the One-stop Online Submission
The online submission form can be accessed at https://forms.gle/CqUxRAczNnC5rAkM8. There will be two rounds. Notification of acceptance for presentation will be provided by
April 12th for the 1st round and June 15th for the 2nd round.

 

Abstracts submitted to this Conference should not have been previously published or under review in any journals. The Conference Organisers will meet twice, in the first week of April and June to select papers for presentation. The criteria for selection are: clarity of the topic/project, how well it addresses the relevant theme/s and its contribution to our understanding of the topic.


The accepted author(s) should prepare a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation in English. The oral presentation should be in English. The Conference Organisers also invite Higher Degree Research students and other postgraduate and undergraduate students completing a research component or a project as part of their studies to present an aspect of their work. Student papers can be presented at the concurrent session or a specific ‘Presentation + Feedback’ session when each student is given 5 minutes to present.


The ‘Presentation + Feedback’ session provides an opportunity for students to share their work and receive constructive feedback and advice from experienced researchers, and to foster networking around research projects.


Submission Deadlines: 02 April 2024 (first round) or 1 June 2024 (2nd round)
