MISSION

SHAPE's mission is the promotion of excellence in health service management education and research in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Pacific.

The need for advanced skills in health service managers has never been more apparent.  To achieve this, high quality academic programs in health service management are essential.

Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region are fortunate in having a number of undergraduate and postgraduate academic programs which provide University based education for people working in the health field.

SHAPE provides an academic forum to debate educational issues, encourage innovation and enhance the work of member programs in health service management education and research.

I look forward to meeting you at this year's SHAPE National Symposium 8 - 10 July, in Glenelg, South Australia.

Associate Professor Godfrey Isouard
National President SHAPE.

SHAPE Learning sets - call for participants

The Society for Health Administration Programs in Education is delighted to announce the formation of its first Learning Set. SHAPE recognises that educators and researchers in health services management face ongoing challenges to ensure they are meeting the needs of their students, the community, the profession and research partners. The learning set offers SHAPE members the opportunity to participate with colleagues from Australia and New Zealand in a 12 month structured action learning program. The program provides the forum for members to learn and develop themselves personally and professionally.
